Dragon Ball Z: Future Trunks is the real protagonist?

Dragon Ball typically follows the traditional way. Bad guys show up, they give heroes a bad time, then the heroes power up and there is a happy ending. But, is reality the same?
In Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, we see Future Trunks, who is a beloved character of many fans. He has a very tragic past and his present is somewhat tragic too. But remember the time when he came back during the 'Frieza-Androids Interlude' part? He came back to the past to warn Goku and the others about the upcoming danger. And, with that, things got complicated. He gave Goku the medicine for the heart virus, of which, Goku was supposed to die. With that, Future Trunks left and came back when the Androids Invasion took place. The heart virus had started showing its effects on Goku and was giving him a hard time. Then, the medicine comes into use and saves Goku. Like most time travel movies, things should have changed in the time Future Trunks came from, but thing is, they didn't change. When Future Trunks returned to his time, he found that Goku was still dead, the Androids still alive, even though he had prevented Goku's death in the past and the Androids had been killed. Future Trunks had became considerably stronger and defeated the Androids with ease, but with that, an alternate timeline/reality had been created.

So let's see this from the beginning. A Saiyan was sent to earth. An old man found him and named him Goku. Goku grew up, making friends, becoming powerful day by day, and finally battled Frieza. After that, everything was peaceful until Goku died of the heart virus and the Androids came. Trunks was born by then. They somehow managed to stay alive without the heroes and when he was big enough, Trunks travelled back to the past to the time when he was born. In the past, Goku returned to earth and found Trunks (Future Trunks). Future Trunks gave Goku the medicine to the heart virus and prevented his death. This created an alternate timeline. In this alternate timeline, we won against the Androids and Goku was still alive. And the other timeline from which Trunks had originally came from, still remained the same. Then years later, when Future Trunks' timeline was facing another threat, rhe threat from Goku Black and Zamasu, he returned to the past. Then the Zamasu of the past was killed by Beerus, which divided the alternate timeline into another alternate timeline, on in which Zamasu was killed and one in which he was not. The later happenings are not of our concern on this topic.

So coming to think of it, if all this timelime stuff hadn't happened, ultimately the real timeline would've been the one in which Goku would die and the Earth would have been invaded by the Androids. So this timeline, from which Future Trunks came, is actually the real timeline of Dragon Ball. This ultimately makes Future Trunks the main hero, who saved 3 timelines.
