The Super Saiyan is a transformation that gives a massive power boost to the user, and this ability is specific to Saiyans. When we first saw Goku gon Super Saiyan in his fight with Freiza on Planet Namek, it was quite a game-changer for the entire series. But is this transformation really that special? According to a popular theory, the Super Saiyan transformation is pretty much normal to the Saiyans. This theory suggests that Goku was the first Super Saiyan only because the Saiyans before him never had to push themselves so much, and never developed feelings of love which would trigger them like Krillin's death triggered Goku. This theory, however, was debunked when Toriyama introduced the S-Cells, which was honestly the dumbest thing he could come up with. AV
Goku and Beerus' fight gave us quite the chills when we first saw our beloved Saiyan attain a new form, Super Saiyan God. In fact, we got to see this fight three times, first in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, then in the anime Dragon Ball Super and then in the manga. Yes, the manga came a little later in this case, but went ahead as it didn't include the adaptation of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F. However, there are quite a few notable differences in all the three variants of this fight. 1. MOVIE In the movie, during their fight, Goku loses his Super Saiyan God form and continues to fight in his base form, and then turns Super Saiyan. Then Goku and Beerus take the fight to the stratosphere and Beerus releases a giant energy blast that almost looks like the sun. Goku tries to prevent it from hitting the earth, and while doing so, loses his Super Saiyan form and goes back to his base form. However, soon after this, he has an awakening of some kind ...
